ABOUT US

Rocca (di Papa) is named after a small village in the Alban Hills, Southeast of Rome, where one of our partners lived for many years, was opened in 2008 with the ambition of recreating the relaxed atmosphere found in a family run Trattoria.

We are independently owned by a group of friends and family. Indeed, our shareholder Moris, can often be found working alongside our brilliant teams in both restaurants.

Our pizza, breads, pasta and sauces are all homemade in our restaurants supervised by our Executive Chef Francesco. The menu offers a wide choice of Italian classics along with some more modern interpretations.

The recipe to Italian food is a simple one. Use the best ingredients available, prepare them fresh to order, offer great value for money and provide a welcoming and friendly environment to enjoy eating with your friends and family.

So, whether you’re looking for a quick bite to eat or for something more substantial, we are here to welcome you!

Our restaurant on Old Brompton Road opened in 2008 and is now well established in the fabric of the local community. Located in the bustling South Kensington, it’s a stone’s throw from the tube station, Natural History, Science and the V&A museums. The restaurant offers a welcoming and friendly environment serving fresh homemade pasta, pizza and grills with the best tiramisu in London (well that’s what we believe!).

Excellent atmosphere, excellent service

Me and my friends visited this lovely restaurant at Friday lunch it was a bit busy, but it wasn’t issue for staff they provided exceptional service , also they were very helpful and knowledgeable about allergies, because one of my friends have some but it wasn’t the issue , in some restaurants you cannot even have a proper meal if you have allergies. In Rocca it’s not an issue , I would highly recommend and Manager Abdul was so lovely and friendly ,I wish in all restaurants managers would be like him .
Overall, we had lovely time and enjoyed delicious food , we will be back for sure!

One of the nicest Italian meals we’ve had!

This restaurant is extremely family friendly. I, mum and dad went here for some food before the National History Museum (which is just around the corner). The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and couldn’t have assisted us more. The food was beautiful and very well priced. Service was quick and we loved that you could see the kitchen, so everything cooked fresh.
Would definitely return back here. 10/10 recommend!

Great Italian home cooked food vibe

We ate here as a family one Sunday lunchtime. This restaurant is close to the museums & family run. Friendly, quick service. We had some squid, bruschetta & arancini which were all very good, then pasta dishes. All excellent, al dente pasta. Hot plates. Good value & well presented.

Great restaurant

Rocca is a much-loved family venue. Always a lovely atmosphere for families and couples. The waiters are all extremely friendly. Service is good as waits are never long . The food is delicious especially the seafood linguine and the carbonara, pizzas are great too. Would recommend.

Happy restaurant

We were looking for lunch and saw this bustling restaurant. Walked in and seated immediately. The staff work together and are happy, the food was gorgeous (bass for mains and tiramisu to die for), lovely bubbly atmosphere. Smashing!

Excellent meal

Had a great meal at this restaurant last night, my wife said it was one of the best pizzas she has ever had.
I can recommend the seafood linguine which was excellent. Staff were friendly and service was great. Even had parking at rear of the restaurant.

Great local Italian

This restaurant has a great vibe especially for eating outside in the sun. Pizzas are tasty and the ravioli difficult to beat. Service was efficient and we will be back.

Unexpected find!

We walked past after a visit to dopamine land and had a lovely meal with great service! The pizza was excellent, and pasta cooked perfectly. Recommend.

Great atmosphere, delightful staff. House wine is very good! Loved our dinner there. Would happily recommend! We had desserts and a second bottle of wine as we were enjoying the place so much!
